Majone is an expert in the fields of youth (care), violence in dependency relationships and mental health care. Among other things, she does a lot of international research on (factors) of juvenile delinquency. Since 2016, Majone has also been Extraordinary Professor of Orthopedagogy at Erasmus University Rotterdam. As extraordinary professor, she is particularly concerned with the intergenerational transmission of domestic violence. She is chair of the Board of Directors at the Verwey Jonker Institute and a member of the research advisory committee 'Violence belongs nowhere'.
