Martin Buijsen (1963) is Ordinary Professor of Health Law at the Erasmus School of Law (ESL) and the Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management (ESHPM) of Erasmus University Rotterdam. He studied law and philosophy at Erasmus University, the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and University College London, and obtained his PhD at Erasmus University. Martin Buijsen heads the Interfaculty Department of Law & Health Care. His interests include patient rights, privacy protection in healthcare, medical confidentiality, access to (health) care, health insurance law and healthcare contracting.
