Sikke Kingma

Sikke Kingma is a specialized litigator and consultant in the field of IP and media law, with a predilection for matters at the interface with IT. He litigates and advises widely on copyright law, trademark law, domain names and (in cassation) patent law. He also assists clients in disputes regarding the legality of publications and statements on the Internet or in other media. Furthermore, Sikke is a very experienced lawyer at the Supreme Court, with over one hundred judgments to his name. From his background as an all-round civil lawyer, he conducts a broad cassation practice for companies and public authorities. He is often called in by lawyers from other firms to conduct cassation proceedings, preliminary ruling proceedings or to assist on appeal. Kingma teaches and publishes regularly. He is editor of the professional journal Mediaforum and core editor of Cassatieblog.nl, the weblog on civil cassation law in the Netherlands.Sikke studied civil law and chemistry at Leiden University. He completed both studies cum laude.
