Terrence Dom

Terrence Dom specializes in privacy and data protection law and is part of the Benelux Data Protection Team and the Technology Group. He advises both national and international clients, often in a cross-border context, on compliance with privacy laws and regulations, including General Data Protection Regulation, the Dutch AVG Implementation Act and the Telecommunications Act. Terrence's work includes drafting and negotiating privacy-related documentation (e.g., privacy statements and processor agreements) and assisting clients with respect to internal privacy policies, data subject rights, international data transfers, e-privacy (including cookies), e-marketing and telemarketing, data breach management and notifications, data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), legitimate interest analyses, and professional confidentiality obligation matters.

Terrence joined NautaDutilh in June 2015, after graduating from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam in corporate law (LL.M. Corporate Law at the Zuidas). He also studied at Maastricht University (LL.B. European Law School). In 2021, Terrence completed the postgraduate specialization course in Privacy and Data Protection Law of the Privacy Lawyers Association (VPR-A) and Leiden University (cum laude).

Terrence is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar Association and a member of the Privacy Lawyers Association (VPR), the Young Privacy Lawyers Netherlands (JPAN) and (prospective) member of the Privacy Lawyers Association (VPR-A), to which only lawyers who are demonstrably and comprehensively specialized in the field of privacy law are admitted.
