Minister Ollongren offers to the House of Representatives,also on behalf of the Minister of Defense, the Temporary regulation on further processing bulk datasets Wiv 2017.
By letter of September 22, 2020, the Minister of Defense and I presented to your House of Representatives two reports of the Intelligence and Security Services Oversight Committee as well as our position on them (Parliamentary Papers II 2020/21, 29 924, no. 203). These reports concern the acquisition and further processing of bulk datasets by the intelligence and security services. In our response, we indicated that we would come up with further rules for the further processing of bulk datasets. These further regulations, the Temporary regulation on further processing of bulk datasets Wiv 2017, have since been adopted by us and are enclosed herewith.
Also on behalf of the Minister of Defense, I would like to invite the members of the Permanent Parliamentary Committee on the Interior and the Permanent Parliamentary Committee on Defense to a technical briefing by the AIVD and MIVD on the application of the regulation in practice.
