In December 2022, SIVON and SURF reported that Google delivered measures to mitigate the risks from the 2021 Privacy Assessment (DPIA) within the agreed timeframe. Most of these measures comply with the agreements made earlier. Google is now picking up the remaining items and indicates it will have this resolved by mid-June. Based on the agreements with Google, SIVON and SURF conclude that they do not need to discourage the use of Google Workspace.
School boards that have indicated that they would like to be kept informed by SIVON will receive a full analysis of all measures as soon as possible after the mid-June delivery date, explaining any actions that you as a school board can take yourself.
