The publication "EHealth: possibilities, use and views" discusses the possibilities for, use of, and views on eHealth of the Dutch population aged 18 years and older. The first part discusses a number of eHealth applications. The second part discusses a specific application of eHealth, namely the National SwitchPoint.

In 2018, 45 percent of adults who had the option did request a repeat prescription online, and just under a third
did make an appointment with their primary care physician online. Of those who did not, nearly two-thirds were willing to do so if it were possible. Four in ten would
like to ask questions about medical complaints via mail or the GP practice's website.
Eight in 10 adults have heard of the National Switch Point (LSP). Of these, 60 percent have given permission to share data through this platform, 14 percent have not given permission or were not asked, and the remaining quarter did not remember whether they consented. The group that refused consent was mainly concerned about possible privacy violations and insufficient data security.
