The 'Roadmap for cybersecurity initiatives' where large organizations, SME and ZZP can go for help in increasing their digital resilience has been launched! After an intensive collaboration between the Digital Trust Center and members of the CIO Platform Netherlands.

'We applaud the fact that various initiatives in the field of cybersecurity are again a little easier to find with this guide. Hopefully this will also improve the security of Dutch companies,' said Henk van Steeg, CIO Thales Netherlands and member of the CIO Information Security Committee.
The need for a guide to cybersecurity initiatives became apparent during one of the network events for security experts organized by the association CIO Platform Nederland (CIOPN). Participants said they could no longer see the wood for the trees with the multitude of cybersecurity initiatives in the Netherlands. The initiatives are all very relevant, but without a good signpost, almost unfindable. Kim van der Veen, relationship manager at the Digital Trust Center (DTC) gladly seizes this need to help the entrepreneurial Netherlands gain an overview of the multitude of cybersecurity initiatives.
"As NS, we know how important it is that travelers can quickly and clearly find the information relevant to them. Even if they do not regularly travel by train. So it's nice that with this guide companies can get to the right cybersecurity desk for their question faster. So that they spend less time searching and more time becoming safer."
- Hessel Dikkers, CIO Nederlandse Spoorwegen, member of the CIO Information Security Committee
From the membership of the CIOPN, Mike Grootveld, CISO Royal FloraHolland, and Pieter-Jan Aarden, Sr. Security Officer at Stedin, stepped forward to work with the DTC to bring order to the jumble of cybersecurity initiatives. Primarily driven by their personal search for cybersecurity initiatives for possible collaboration with their own organizations. After a prosperous process, the 'Cybersecurity roadmap' tool was created in 6 months.
The 'Cybersecurity roadmap' makes the landscape of cybersecurity initiatives in the Netherlands clear. Because there are so many initiatives, it is sometimes difficult for companies and organizations to find the right counter that can help them. The cybersecurity roadmap therefore brings supply and demand together between companies and providers of cybersecurity information and/or services. Using various filters such as company size, geographical location, cybersecurity maturity or a specific request for help, an entrepreneur can find an appropriate initiative that can contribute to the digital resilience of the entrepreneur.
"At Thales Netherlands we are very familiar with the security domain and we are also very familiar with working in chains. So we know how important it is that every organization, small or large, has the right knowledge and information to stay safe. Not only for its own data, systems and survival, but also those of chain partners. We therefore applaud the fact that the various initiatives in the field of cybersecurity are a little easier to find with this guide. Hopefully this will also improve the security of Dutch companies."
- Henk van Steeg, CIO Thales Netherlands and member of the CIO Information Security Committee
In an interview, Mike Grootveld - as CISO responsible at Royal FloraHolland for a secure and responsible digital trading platform for growers and buyers - directly points out the importance of the tool for the SME target group. At Royal FloraHolland, everyone knows where to find Mike immediately if something comes up that has to do with digital security. "Our digital trading platform is inherently secure!", Mike emphasizes. As part of the 100% digital strategy, all transactions will take place digitally by the end of this year, making cyber security important for the entire chain, including the digital landscape at growers and buyers. Mike wishes the entrepreneurial Netherlands short lines when it comes to cybersecurity in working (together) digitally more and more. Making Royal FloraHolland more resilient applies to Royal FloraHolland, the members of the cooperative and the entire chain. The cybersecurity guide helps to guide the various points of contact available to make the Netherlands more cyber resilient.
Digital resilience throughout the chain is also very important at Stedin. Pieter-Jan Aarden indicates that as a grid operator and part of the vital sector, Stedin is increasingly dependent on non vital companies within the chain. That cybersecurity initiatives and solutions and for cyber resilience should be easy to find takes on important meaning when there is chain dependency. The tool makes the overall overview comprehensible and helps companies make targeted searches to find an answer to their specific request for help.
