How does it work?

Search and Find is an application that searches large amounts of data in various digital sources, looking for specific information. Thus, with one search, you can find this information simultaneously in all connected information domains. Such as DMSs, old mail registration systems, network drives, websites and e-mail boxes, and the e-Depot of the National Archives.

Specific functions within Search and Find

Within Search and Find, there are also 5 specific applications that, for example, prevent sensitive information from ending up in the wrong place. Or which ensure that you can store and search obsolete information safely, permanently and accessibly. These functions are explained in the fact sheet Search and Find. Action Plan Open on Order

Search and Find stems from the Generic Action Plan Open in Order with which the government wants to improve information management and make it more transparent (2). At the end of July, State Secretary van Huffelen sent the updated action plans Open op Orde of all ministries (plus baseline measurements) with a parliamentary letter to the Lower House (3). This in response to Parliamentary questions about information management at ministries, following the lessons learned from the benefits scandal. An updated version of the Generic Action Plan is planned for later this year.
