For that reason, this summer (on NORA Online) the new Guide to Developing and Managing Mobile Apps for the Dutch Government was published. This guide (with proven approaches) helps government organizations make smart choices for developing apps that are ready for the future. The document outlines a framework for developing high-quality apps that comply with policies, technical standards and user requirements.

The guide was created for anyone involved in developing, managing or driving apps within government. From policy makers and clients to IT architects, developers, UX designers and testers.

Why invest in high-quality apps?

A well-developed app contributes to a better user experience, increased trust and outreach. And thus, citizens' trust in digital government can grow.

The guide was prepared in collaboration with the Tax Authority, DICTU, SSC-ICT and JIO, among others, and is part of the Enterprise Architecture Rijk (EAR). The content is updated every 2 years. This keeps the guide in line with the latest technological and social developments.
