IT Academy Noord-Nederland - part of the Hanzehogeschool Groningen, NHL Stenden Hogeschool and ROC Friese Poort now offer an interactive training course to ensure that employees gain more insight into Cybersafety.
The Awareness Cybersafety & Cybersecurity course was developed for clients in the Northern Netherlands. What makes this training special is that it was created through cooperation between the northern educational institutions (mbo and hbo). The program provides digital awareness and digital resilience to employees of organizations.
The incidence of cybercrime is growing and cyber awareness remains a hot topic for organizations. With the
Awareness Cybersafety & Cybersecurity course, the three northern knowledge institutions are responding to the needs of organizations in the Northern Netherlands. Together they are deploying researchers, teachers, students and online learning resources for this course. The goal is a sustainable behavioral change in the field of Cybersafety.
Staff and students from the Integral Security Studies program and the Cybersafety research group of the Thorbecke Academy of NHL Stenden, ROC Friese Poort Cyber@Work and IT Academy Noord-Nederland, part of the Hanze University Groningen, are working together to create the program.
Developing the Cybersafety & Cybersecurity Awareness course is a concrete example of cooperation between colleges of higher education and mbo from Groningen, Drenthe and Friesland. This is the first time that these three educational institutions have joined forces, each using its specific expertise to increase cyber awareness among northern organizations. In this way, the Northern Netherlands profiles itself as the knowledge region in the field of cyber safety.
