Phones and smartwatches no longer allowed at cabinet meetings

At official Cabinet meetings, such as the Council of Ministers, ministers are no longer allowed to carry telephones and the like for security reasons. NOS recently reported on this.

Tablets, laptops, phones, smartwatches and earpods must now be stored in a special locker. This locker cabinet is located outside the meeting room. During the Rutte cabinets, phones and the like had to be handed in only when specific security topics came up.
