Every year the quality of the links between basic registrations is measured. Links establish links between data that appear in multiple registries. Users can combine data from multiple registries for their own applications. The measurement was carried out by CBS in cooperation with a number of basic registries, ICTU and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK).

Use of data

The annual quality measurement provides a picture of the consistency of the links established by different registries. That means the measurement provides insight into how often data have been linked. And if data have been linked, to what extent the data match. In addition, the measurement also shows trends. This allows you to see whether consistency compared to previous years is improving. Check out the dashboard at CBS(link to other website) for more information.

Connection to data from new registries

As we move toward a federated data system(link to other website), links to new registrations are measured annually. The measurement of linkages with individuals in the Register of Educational Participants shows a high degree of completeness and accuracy. Links between organizations in the OIN Register, the Register of Government Organizations, and the Trade Register are also being measured. The results of these will follow later this year. Consistency between these registries is essential for a well-functioning data system. In 2021, the quality of the link between the Connection Register of Energy Network Companies (EAN) with the Basic Register of Addresses and Buildings (BAG) was evaluated.

What is the system of basic records?

The system of basic registries is a coherent set of agreements and facilities aimed at efficiently and effectively managing essential data for government tasks. These data are recorded in legally embedded data collections, known as base registries. The system comprises the mutual relationship between these data collections and the common facilities needed to collect, distribute and use this information.
