Society is increasingly confronted with the influence of algorithms and AI. AI literacy is essential for strengthening social resilience in dealing with algorithms and AI. Developers of AI systems and organizations that use AI systems must ensure that their employees are 'AI literate' from February 2, 2025. This means that people who use AI systems within or on behalf of the organization must have sufficient knowledge, skills, and understanding to use AI responsibly. This applies to technical, practical, social, and ethical aspects. This is stated in the AI Regulation. As the coordinating AI and algorithm supervisor, the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens AP) is helping organizations get started with this document.
