In this report, the Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR) issues an advisory report to the national government advocating proper preparation for digital disruption. The report starts from the observation that disruption and failure of digital infrastructure can have major consequences for the economy and society, as well as for trust in the democratic rule of law. In its recommendations, the WRR pays particular attention to how the Netherlands can manage dependencies between the digital and physical worlds and between numerous parties connected in networks.
