Processing for which identification is not required
If the purposes for which a controller processes personal data do not or no longer require the controller to identify a data subject, the controller shall not be required, solely for the purpose of complying with this Regulation, to keep, obtain or process additional data identifying the data subject.
In the cases referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article, where the controller is able to demonstrate that it cannot identify the data subject, it shall, where possible, inform the data subject thereof. In such cases, Articles 15 to 20 shall not apply, except where the data subject provides, with a view to exercising his rights under those Articles, additional data enabling him to be identified.
