Competence
Each supervisory authority shall have the competence to perform on the territory of its Member State the tasks assigned to it in accordance with this Regulation and to exercise the powers conferred on it in accordance with this Regulation.
In the case of processing by public authorities or by private bodies acting under Article 6(1)(c) or (e), the supervisory authority of the Member State in question shall be competent. In such cases, Article 56 shall not apply.
Supervisory authorities are not competent to monitor processing operations by courts in the exercise of their judicial functions.
