European Data Protection Board
The European Data Protection Board (the "Board") is established as a body of the Union and has legal personality.
The Committee shall be represented by its Chairman.
The Committee consists of the chairperson of one supervisory authority per Member State and the European Data Protection Supervisor, or their respective representatives.
Where in a Member State more than one supervisory authority is responsible for monitoring the application of the provisions under this Regulation, a joint representative shall be appointed in accordance with the law of that Member State.
The Commission is entitled to participate in the activities and, without voting rights, in the meetings of the Committee. The Commission shall appoint a representative. The Chairman of the Committee shall inform the Commission of the activities of the Committee.
In the cases referred to in Article 65, the European Data Protection Supervisor shall have the right to vote only on decisions concerning principles and rules applicable to the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies which correspond in substance to those of this Regulation.
