Committee Reports
By May 25, 2020, and every four years thereafter, the Commission shall submit a report to the European Parliament and the Council on the evaluation and review of this Regulation. The reports shall be made public.
As part of the evaluations and reviews referred to in paragraph 1, the Commission shall assess in particular the application and operation of:
Chapter V on the transfer of personal data to third countries or international organizations, in particular with regard to decisions adopted pursuant to Article 45(3) of this Regulation and decisions adopted pursuant to Article 25(6) of Directive 95/46/EC;
Chapter VII on cooperation and coherence.
For the purpose mentioned in paragraph 1, the Commission may request information from both Member States and supervisory authorities.
In carrying out the evaluations and reviews referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2, the Commission shall take into account the views and findings of the European Parliament, of the Council, and of other relevant bodies or sources.
If necessary, the Commission shall submit appropriate proposals with a view to amending this Regulation, in particular in the light of developments in information technology and the state of the information society.
