For the purpose of supporting the task referred to in Article 1(a), police data processed pursuant to Articles 8, 9 and 10 may be further processed insofar as they are relevant to:
identifying previous processing operations with respect to the same individual or case, including for the purpose of determining previous involvement in criminal offenses;
elucidating crimes that could not yet be traced to a suspect;
identification of persons or things;
bringing to the attention of persons or matters for the purpose of performing a requested action or for the purpose of treating persons properly;
Performing duties in the service of justice.
For the purpose of supporting the task referred to in Article 1, section a, police data processed in accordance with Article 8, 9 or 10 may be further processed centrally by a data controller insofar as they are relevant for obtaining national insight into specialized subjects. The further processed data shall be made available to persons authorized by a controller insofar as they need them for the performance of the task referred to in Article 1, section a.
For the purpose of supporting the task referred to in Article 1(a), police data processed pursuant to Articles 8, 9 and 10, insofar as they are relevant for automated comparison for the purpose of reporting different processing operations on the same person, shall be made available and further processed for this purpose. The related data may, with the consent of an authorized officer, be further processed under Articles 8, 9 or 10.
By general order in council, rules will be laid down on what, with a view to the processing referred to in the first, second and third paragraphs, is recorded in writing in advance and made available for inspection. In any case, rules shall be laid down on the written record of:
the specific purpose for which the data will be further processed in support of the task referred to in Article 1(a);
The categories of persons about whom data will be further processed for the purpose in question and the types of data to be included about them;
the cases in which, or the time limits within which, further processing of the data in question will be terminated.
