Article 35a (position Autoriteit persoonsgegevens)

  In performing its duties and exercising its powers, the Autoriteit persoonsgegevens Authority acts completely independently.

  Each member of the Autoriteit persoonsgegevens Authority shall have the necessary qualifications, experience and skills, especially in the field of personal data protection, to perform their duties and exercise their powers.

  Members of the Autoriteit persoonsgegevens shall remain free from external influence, direct or otherwise, and shall neither seek nor accept instructions from anyone in the performance of their duties and the exercise of their powers in accordance with this paragraph.

  The members of the Autoriteit persoonsgegevens Authority shall refrain from any action incompatible with their duties and, during their term of office, shall not engage in any professional activity, remunerated or not, incompatible with their duties.
