The data of 267 million Facebook users was on the darkweb for two weeks. Security expert Bob Diachenko discovered the leak. In addition to unique IDs, the full names and phone numbers of Facebook users were in the database. According to Diachenko, most of the data belonged to American users.

The database was not findable with standard browsers. It was posted in a hacker forum on the darkweb. After the data was found on Dec. 14, it took two weeks for the database to be taken offline.
This is not the first time Facebook's data has leaked. Earlier this year, Facebook received a fine from the Federal Trade Commission over the Cambridge Analytica scandal. Moreover, in September, phone numbers of more than 400 million users were also on the street.
