Logius has had the latest version of the WCAG guidelines(external link) translated into Dutch. WCAG contains recommendations for making websites, online documents and mobile applications accessible to people with disabilities. The translation of these guidelines can be found on the website of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

As of Sept. 23, all government websites must comply with the Temporary Government Digital Accessibility Decree. In short, this means that they must apply the guidelines of WCAG 2.1 A and AA and publish an accessibility statement for all their websites. Those that cannot fully comply with the standard before then must explain this in the accessibility statement.
