Tikkie has announced the launch of "Tikkie Business. With the latest Tikkie addition, businesses now have a separate app that allows them to create and send business Tikkies and allow their customers to pay quickly. The new app offers business owners real-time visibility into the status of all their payments.
ABN AMRO's payment service explains that the arrival of Tikkie Business is due to the rapid growth in the number of business users. According to Tikkie, more than 25,000 businesses are already using the payment app.
Businesses can use the new app to share their payment requests with customers via whatsapp, text message, email or a QR code. While a Tikkie among consumers has an average value of about 30 euros, for a business Tikkie this rises to 80 euros on average. The limit for business owners is 50,000 euros.
The new app would be suitable for a wide range of businesses, especially sole traders and SMEs. "The big advantage of Tikkie Business compared to other payment methods - such as sending invoices - is that payments are made very quickly," explained Moreno Kensmil (Tikkie's head of marketing).
"As many as 80% of business Tikkies are already paid within 24 hours. This is mainly due to the ease of payment: customers do not need to transfer billing information and can pay directly via a link. Moreover, many users are used to the payment speed of Tikkie, thanks to using the app in private life."
Kensmil emphasizes that business functionality has seen great growth in recent years. With the new app, Tikkie wants to build on this success. Tikkie's head of marketing expects the new app to make making business payments even easier.
"We have reached tens of thousands of business users since the launch of the feature of the same name," Kensmil continued. "We are proud that many Dutch businesses have found their way to Tikkie and the launch of this app is a great testament to the continued growth and development of Tikkie."
