Last week, the UWV announced that a data breach had occurred: 150,000 resumes were viewable and possibly downloaded.

It concerns resumes on work.com. This website allows job seekers with and without benefits to search for work. Some of these resumes contain contact information of the job seeker. The UWV is currently informing those affected about what information has been viewed. They are also being advised on what they can do to minimize the consequences of the viewing and possible download.
Outgoing Social Affairs and Employment Minister Van Gennip writes in her letter to the House of Representatives that resumes were also downloaded on a large scale during a data breach in 2019. "In response, UWV has taken several measures, such as the ability to shield contact information and implementation of monitoring software to keep an eye on how many resumes are viewed and downloaded."
