This handbook supports organizations with concrete steps and advice to mitigate the threat of quantum computers to cryptography. The time when quantum computers will pose a threat to currently used cryptography is unpredictable.
Nevertheless, some organizations need to work on solutions now because of the risk posed by quantum computing. These include, for example, organizations that process data that must still be confidential even 20 years from now, or organizations that develop systems with long lifetimes.
The most promising solution is so-called post-quantum cryptography (PQC).
This publication is a second revised and expanded edition.
This new edition also includes a new advice tool, the PQChoiceAssistant, which helps companies choose PQC methods.
