The Rijksoverheid 's use of cloud services can bring benefits, such as flexibility and collaboration. But there are also risks involved, including vendor dependence and privacy.
Good risk management is therefore crucial. That is why State Secretary Van Huffelen has prepared the Implementation Framework for Cloud Use Risk Assessment (1) and presented it to the House of Representatives. The implementation framework contains rules for responsible cloud use and was drafted with the CIOs (chief information office) of the ministries.
This implementation framework is a deepening and elaboration of the government-wide policy on the use of cloud services. When implementing the cloud policy within the Rijksoverheid , the application of this implementation framework is mandatory.
The creation of the implementation framework is part of the Digital Resilience Roadmap and the Work Agenda on Value-Driven Digitization (under the priorities Protecting Public Values and Strengthening the ICT Organization and Systems of the State).
